From Discovery to Participation

We’ve been busy building the next pieces of Behold.

Our focus is expanding beyond discovering and looking at art to what happens next: collecting, organizing, curating, and sharing the art you discover.

We’re working toward user accounts for art lovers, collectors, explorers and curators — giving everyone the ability to build their own collections and share those discoveries with others.

For artists, that means more ways for your work to travel.

Someone discovers your work. Saves it. Adds it to a collection. Shares that collection with someone else — who discovers you.

That’s the flywheel we’re beginning to build.

A NEW KIND OF CURATOR

You shouldn’t need a museum, gallery or title to have a great eye.

People who are good at finding remarkable art can build collections, share them, and perhaps develop their own following and credibility as discoverers.

That creates another path for artists to be seen — people championing the work they discover.

MORE WAYS INTO BEHOLD

We’re continuing work on curated group collections and simple screen-based experiences that can introduce people to Behold wherever they encounter art — then let them continue exploring on their own.

The goal remains simple:

More ways in. More looking. More discovery. More opportunity for artists.

HELP US BUILD THE AUDIENCE

This part matters enormously.

Behold becomes more valuable for everyone as more people participate.

Please bring people in.

Share Behold with someone who loves art — especially someone who may never call themselves an “art person.”

Invite fellow artists.

If you belong to an artist organization, school, collective or community, introduce us. We can help bring your group onto Behold and build collections around your work.

And when you see our posts, please like, comment and share them. That simple activity helps us reach people we could never reach alone.

Every new person who comes to look is another pair of eyes on the art.

FOLLOW THE THINKING BEHIND BEHOLD

I’ve also been sharing a series of personal perspectives on LinkedIn about art, beauty, discovery, how we experience art — and some of the thinking shaping where Behold is headed.

If you’re curious about the bigger ideas behind what we’re building, I invite you to follow along and join the conversation.
