The art of attention
One metric from our early Behold data caught our attention:
Average session duration: 29 minutes, 41 seconds.
Nearly half an hour.
Not because people are trapped in an algorithm. Because they’re exploring.
Zooming into details.
Discovering new artists.
Saving favorites.
Building collections.
Spending time with the work.
For all of us, that’s encouraging. It means people aren’t just passing by.
They’re stopping.
If you haven’t completed your profile yet, now is a good time.
Tell people a bit about yourself.
Share the story behind your work.
Add new pieces occasionally.
Keep your gallery fresh.
People are looking.
As Behold continues to evolve, we’re also working on simple engagement tools that will help artists better understand what’s happening with their work—things like views, likes, saves, collections, and other signals of interest. Our goal is to provide meaningful feedback that helps artists learn what is resonating and build deeper connections with their audience.
We’re still early, but the signs are encouraging.
Thank you to every artist, collector, explorer, and supporter helping build this community with us.
